The Higher Education Opportunity Act (Public Law 110-315) (HEOA) was enacted on August 14, 2008 and reauthorizes the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA), as amended. The HEOA includes many disclosure and reporting requirements that a postsecondary educational institution is required to distribute or make available to prospective and currently enrolled students and, in some cases, employees. The distribution of information about the institution’s operations is intended to increase the institution’s transparency to others. Student Financial Assistance Assistance available from Federal, State, and Other Aid Programs Information on: Additional information can be found in the Consumer Information & Catalog or by contacting the Federal Study Financial Aid Penalties for Drug Law Violations A student who has been convicted of any offense under any Federal or State law involving the possession or sale of a controlled substance shall not be eligible to receive any grant, loan or work assistance under this title during the period beginning on the date of such conviction and ending after the interval specified in the following table. If convicted of an offense involving the possession of a controlled substance ineligibility period is: Second offense: 2 years Third offense: Indefinite The sale of a controlled substance ineligibility is: First offense: 2 years Second offense: Indefinite Rehabilitation- A student whose eligibility has been suspended under paragraph (1.) may resume eligibility before the end of the eligibility period determined under such paragraph if: The student satisfactorily completes a drug rehabilitation program that complies with such criteria as the Secretary shall prescribe in regulation for purposes of this paragraph and Includes two unannounced drug tests or the conviction is reversed, set aside, or otherwise rendered nugatory. Campus Director or a designee maintains the Campus Crime Log. A copy of the Crime Log may be requested from the front desk. Student Outcomes CCA maintains statistics on student outcomes for various entities including the Accrediting Council For Continuing Education & Training, and the U.S. Department of Education.
